Structural Engineer - Project Manager (5+ years of experience) - Carbondale, CO

Evolve Structural Design is continuing to grow & is looking for a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join our team in Carbondale, Colorado. Our office is located in the Roaring Fork Valley, between Aspen & Glenwood Springs, where the abundance of outdoor recreation cultivates the growth of the local mountain community. We are a small thriving structural design firm with a casual, professional, high-energy environment where hard work and innovative thinking are rewarded. Our focus lies in custom residential and commercial buildings within the Colorado mountains.

Current available position is for a full time Structural Project Manager :

Structural Project Manager Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years Structural Engineer design experience in wood, steel, concrete & masonry
  • Minimum 2 years Structural Project Manager experience
  • B.S. or M.S. in Architectural, Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of EIT certification, along with or working towards PE licensure
  • Proficiency w/ AutoCAD, Revit and/or ArchiCAD
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Proficiency with current structural engineering design & building codes
  • Proficiency with detailed hand calculations for custom structural detailing & designs
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, Enercalc, Forte, etc.
  • Proficiency with creation, interpretation & coordination of project drawings
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and dedicated to every task
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be excited to live & thrive in a Colorado mountain community

Structural Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Provide design & drafting/modeling for a variety of structural engineering projects
  • Provide project coordination with architects, contractors, engineers & building departments
  • Provide all construction administration support, including field observations
  • Work closely with clients to develop creative options to meet & exceed their objectives
  • Take an active, positive role in collaborative office & design team environments
  • Assist in mentoring & advancing the knowledge of other structural engineers in the firm
